855-816-6718 Like everybody else I got the text message but I actually applied thru a website thinking it was legit but was suspicious none the less. I searched their database for jobs in my city even though I know there are no jobs here because it's just residential. None the less there was about 50 job openings for my city. I spoke to a guy today and went thru all the information I submitted and he did mention school even tho I have all the experience and ed. I need for the workforce. He said if I change my mind he could get me information aboout furthering my education. I was wary and decided to look up reviews and wahlah, my hunch was right Scam!!! I migh call them back and record the phone conversation and post a link where to here it. Scam!!!

I actually looked up the Co. name & got this page.
The # they texted me from was 424-832-9568 & I was asked to call 888-644-0294. The woman asked a few questions & I asked questions as to whether this position was even in San Diego as the # the text came from was LA. She could not provide info about the employer & could only verify info from my resume. They did ask me about my education & said I also qualified for some survey which would be emailed to me in about an hour & that the employer info would be emailed tomorrow (Saturday).
Suspicions growing larger I tried to ask more questions but she wanted to get me off of the phone.
2nd scam reply today. ugh.

Yes they part of a major scam network across America. They put ads on Craigslist to steal your information and sell it to others. They're link is a fake link that makes you think it's a legit company like Construct corps but, it's not. http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.employer-network.com .
SimpleFreeRewards http://garwarner.blogspot.com/2009/02/new-trend-stimulus-scammers.html . The same add is in different cities across USA . Hope they didn't get you.

I received a text message from 801-386-6793 telling me they went over a application i submitted for forklift operator here in Denver and to call them at 888-304-4360. The next day i received a text from the same number saying the same stuff but to call 888-907-1430 this time...

Got the exact same text at the beginning of March, jo. Total scam. I talked to some girl about this ambiguous position, and next thing I know we are talking about online colleges. Within 20 minutes 3 different colleges (legit or not, I don't know) called me to recruit me. Effing trolls.

I received the same scam this morning. I called and was suspicious that no details about the "employer" were given, and then it became a sales call about furthering my education and if I would stay on line to speak with a representative. I told them I would call them if I was interested. And...would I expect the email to follow through with the "application". haven't received that yet. Guess my terse responses to their inquiry was a clue that I was skeptical.

I received the text too, was a little disarmed because it came an area near where I live/applied. Was suspicious when I called back but they only asked me my salary requirements, work status, and education. I received the email today w/ the link to Employer-network.com. If you cross reference the address in the email: 10 Glen Lake Pkwy Ste 130 Atlanta, GA 30328; it is actually a law advocate group. I called the company at that address and they know nothing about the Employer-Network Inc..

Career Network Scam
Have you ever heard of Career Network? If not then you may or may know if you can remember getting a call about a job. Well I honestly used to work for them. Why? Well I needed a job and with the economy the way it is. That was the only job I could find. Plus at the time I didn't know it was even that job it was misleading when I applied. Anyway when I talked to applicants many of them thought they applied for a real job. I at first thought it was real myself. Then started to get suspicious when there were more compaints and did a little research online and learned of the scams it was doing. However, I guess in legal terms from my part that I knew we weren't doing anything illegal. The verification specialist just verifys your "job application" then there was a part they told us goes to the education line. Once we were finished with verifying we would try to see if they wanted to further their education. Most people don't and that's okay. So during the process we would motivate them to go back and answer what they wanted to be. Then get them to call a 1-800 number which was to call someone for talking about school. From them we would hope that it would go through and they accepted to go to school because then we would get money. That was how we were payed and honestly it was grueling work with no benefits and nothing but commission only and getting many applications per day and sometimes getting nothing for the day. It is sick what they did but again that was the only job I could find and was hiring. So where the scam part? Well in the beginning of the few months I worked there it seemed that they illegalized a dialer system. This dialer system was where telemarketers or whoever can't call you on a system that just shot out your number and called it and we picked up. We never called them but the system did and many people don't like it when they are called. Especially those on the west side of the US because if it was 9am

it was 6 am there and trust me there are alot of unhappy people then. Well I would be the same way to. lol (which i appologize for everyone I talked to and even though you may not know me and i dnt know you for talking to you and missleading you) Then another scam part is that the people of Career Network sold your information. I heard on the local news here that they tried to sell your info to schools and thats why they wanted you so much to go back to school for the money and thats it. On the job we had a script on the screen telling us what to say each minute especially if there were questions. We also had some printed copys of questions and answers that people ask alot and were prepped to know what to say at that moment. Some questions and answers asked were:

1. "Who is the employer?" Well I don't have the name of the employer itself because we are contracted by thousands of employers nation wide.

2. "Where is the job located?" The job should be located within 25 miles of your home address.

3. "How did you get my info?" You applied for it online. (sometimes it would be longer and they would ask "Well I don't remember applying for it where did you get it? then we would say well we are on many websites so I can't pinpoint where exactly."

4. "Who are you?" I'm so and so with Career Network

5. "What does the job entitle? (such as pay and whatnot)" Well I don't have that information because we are contracted by thousands of employers nationwide but I do know that once they see your application and if interested they will contact you. From there they will be happy to answer and questions pertaining to the job.

Many questions such as those I was prepped to know and ready to answer. They sound very good right? If you were to talk to someone you may be like "Wow! They seem legit!" However, they are not. Even the employees of the company such as myself were never given who the employers are. They just said that there are real jobs. The managers just told us bogus

I got a suspicious text from them as well. Apparently, they use your first name to disarm you and ask you a bunch of BS questions. Bottom line, they are not the employer and most likely phishing on Craigslist ( a scammer's paradise) . I did speak with them and only answered a few questions.

The creepy thing is that they have all of my information on their data base. I checked out their address from the email and the directory doesn't list them.

Here is the email I got from them:

Thank you for the info... I got the same text on Saturday too. I thought it was strange so I decided to research the number before calling and that's when I came across this site.

These people texted me regarding the job I applied for some time ago on Craigslist and asked to call this 888 number. Very creepy, who texts about a job position? Nevertheless, I called them just to be sure, they say they are a "third-party verifier" and asked a lot of personal info. Looks like scam or an employment agency.

Likewise, I responded to the Craigslist ad and got a text from a guy named Anthony (1-801-386-6793), I had to call him at 1-888-907-1430 and did the same question and answer routine. Went to the site and it wouldn't even show up on my computer. Very bogus and misleading!
