Report these scams. I sent copies of the threatening conversations to the FCC-Bureau of Consumer Protection, as well as the State DA and the local courts that the perpetrators claimed to be calling from. I have saved the messages I received on my phone and plan on saving them to disc in case I need them for proof in the future. Document every word. It could be useful.

Exactly :) I was even able to find one of the alias company names they use online and their address is on the home page along with a mission statement saying they follow all federal trade laws......yeah sure..... I sent them a message to not only stop calling me but that I had reported them to my States Attorney General, the FTC, and the FCC. Not only that they are list on the BBB for Georgia where I believe one of their offices is located, at least its one of the 5 phone numbers they call from. I submitted a complaint there yesterday. Save all your documents proving you filed a complaint, save all the call recordings and messages, and send them a certified cease and desist letter with copies of all your filed complaints. This is the only address I have found for one of the names they use. Even if this company I found is not them, they know someone is using their name and using illegal practices to collect on phony debts. It would be enough for them to at least take action too. Anything any of us can do to help future victims will be worth it.

My 90 year-old father in-law had a voice message on his machine from this number. You could hear it was a phone center, the male caller claimed a judgement was going to entered in Pinal County, Arizona - he mispronounced the county name and my F I-L lives in another county. Obviously a scam, he was never served with a lawsuit, is legally blind and lives on his Soc Security. He called me to listen to the message. I didn't waste my time with a call back, I am a retired lawyer and hate to see these scams, but people should never respond to any telephone requests.
This same thing happened to me last year and this year. It is a scam, someone had stolen my information and I had to put a fraud alert on my credit report and of course these calls start coming in.....turns out my info was sold to these scum bags and they make up a claim to collect money you don't even owe. If this happens call your state Attorney General and file a complaint, then file a complaint with the FTC, and the FCC. If you are lucky and can get an address from them post it here so we can all turn it in. The company name doesn't even exist from what I can tell and they call from all sorts of different area codes.
Caller I'd was blocked. Left message that I had a "Summons & Petition and Judgement against me from a major bank. He knew the last for of my social security number and managed to get my name and pay as you go phone number!!!!! He said this was from 1996 loan. I told him I did not have any business with this bank other than a mortgage. He told me that I would be summoned by my county and that I could try and explain it to the judge...that I had been served! Our mortgage co. called him and he hung up or accidentally lost connection twice!!! He could not tell me my address!!! Seems like a scam of sorts!!! Scarey thing is that he has my social!!!!!! Any body else had these sorts of . dealings with these people??? His name was Joel Anderson ...

Yes this is the second time I had these scum bags call me.......however this time I did a ton of research on the company name they did leave on my message. Speaking to them won;t do any good, it's a phishing scam designed to use scare tactics to weasel money out of innocent people for phony debts or old paid off debts. What is happening is all of us on here has had their information stolen off line at some point and sold over and over again to companies like this.
If they call again try to get the company name and an address, then file a complaint with the FTC, and your states Attorney Generals office. If you get an address send a certified letter telling the to cease and desist and include copies of your complaint claim numbers and any documents proving you have reported them. I have heard also that if you can get a word in edge wise to state your rights on the Fair Collections Act. So far this is the best way, but it may not stop them from selling your information again......
The same thing just happened to me. I received a call Donald Legman claiming to be from DC courts, which is where I reside. I called DC courts to see if this was real, and the woman told me that no one by that name worked there. This is very strange and weird. Has anyone had something come of these calls?
