I also received a computer voice from Amazon telling me someone was trying to purchase an iPhone on my account. Their number was 1-888-280-4331. I had this number in my contacts as a Customer Service number. I do not know how or when I added this number to my contacts. I called Amazon Tech Support and gave them information. But they could not or would not confirm this was an Amazon Customer Service number.

Second time in five days got a call from Amazon. Said somebody in Ohio had tried to buy an iPhone using my Amazon account. Thought they were legit the first time, as my credit card had been compromised a couple of weeks earlier. The incident fizzled when the "customer service rep" couldn't access my bank account. Got a second call tonight. It began with the same spiel and my phone disconnected. The day after the first call, got a call saying that my package was on its way from Dayton, OH. I don't know anybody in Ohio nor have ordered anything from there.

I don't have an Amazon account. Caller said someone had purchased a $749 I-Phone on my Amazon account.. To call this 888-280-4331 if I didn't make this purchase. My home phone caller ID lists Amazon as the caller. I ignored the call as a scam!!

Amazon call (phony) about an amount of money deducted from my Amazon account. I am very sure of items I have purchased from Amazon and there were no dollar amounts like the amount mentioned in the phone messagte.

I received a call saying someone made an unauthorized charge of $749.00 to buy a phone on Amazone account. The team Viewer was to put a protective system on my account . They ask me to down load team viewer quick support to get access to my phone which I could see them going into personal information. While they were giving me some numbers I could see the typing sending money to an Amber Jackson to receive money from my account.

I received a call telling me that someone had charged 800.00 to my account with Amazon, only to get my information. Please do not fall for this Scam, like I did and have spent all afternoon trying to get my information and life back .... this call is SPAM...

Just had this same call! 888-28-4331 -Amazon. Someone placed a fraudulent order for an Iphone on my account. Was suspicious right away - checked my bank statement, nothing so far. Scam - be careful!!

I didn't get a phone call, just an erroneous hit on my debit card for $99.95. The phone number they give is really truely Amazon. They were able to do this phony transaction because the day before i DID buy something for $4.95. So they got my informaation through a small legitimate purchase, then used that information to hit me for $99.95. My bank is reversing that charge now, and I'm being sent a new debit card.

Caller: It wasn't a call, it was an erroneous charge on my bank account.

Not a call,but they charged my debit card $99.50 with the name WT-EAR-SHIP 8882804331 CA 20275. There have been two of these charges to my bank account this month. I originally did charge $4.95 for a shipping charge related to receiving a free set of ear-buds if I pay the freight. Check your bank account for unrecognized charges and this phone number.
