2nd time I have been called about charges being placed on my card. I called Amazon. Amazon said scam, nothing happening to my account. What I want to know is how they can use Amazon;s phone number to call people??? It shows on caller ID the call is from Amazon

Called serval times asking me to install TeamViewer QuickSupport which says screen sharing underneath it. I was acting like I was complying but I know my account wasn't compromised because I was ordering from amazon as they continued to lie.

Name on caller ID was AmazonAmazon no space between the two which isn't how the real Amazon ID is. Also got this call after I had another where they left a Msg about my acct and Amazon does not have this phone number nor does anyone else.

Some a-hole from India tried to convince me my Amazon Prime account had been breached and someone bought an expensive iPhone. Checked my account, everything is fine....How about we start making it more difficult for India to do business with the US until the shut all the scammers in their country down????

Caller did not identify me. Caller conversed stated my amazon credit card has been compromised and it was important I call them back immediately at 888-280-4331. Here it is they are calling to inform me of a compromised scam and fraudulent charge on my account and yet the persons behind this number are the ones committing fraud.

A "Henry Smith" with a very thick Indian accent calling with elaborate scam regarding someone in another US state charging to my Prime account. Total BS.

As others have reported. Purports to be breach of Amazon account for an "I phone order". Hung up and check my account. This is scam.

The taped voice said that they detected fraudulent activity on my Amazon account to buy a $750 iPhone. I hung up.

Just got the same call "from Amazon". They said I had a charge for an iphone for the same 749.00 on my Amazon account . Contacted Amazon and they checked it out and said it was a scam.

Called about an unauthorized charge of $749 made in Ohio. Sounded plausible so I went as far as to download "Team Viewer" on my phone -- foolishly giving them access to it. But then I was asked for my Amazon user name and password. At that point I asked them why they didn't already know it and got a meaningless answer. That convinced me it was a scam. I hung up and immediately deleted Team Viewer from my phone.

I received the call also saying $749 was charged to my account and to press one but it was on my voicemail. The number showed on my caller ID from Amazon....this has got to stop.

Have called twice using this phone # and saying there's a $749.00 charge - there isn't. Didn't call back, blocked # if Amazon wants to contact me they'll have to find a more secure #!!!
