I got a call today. I did not answer. Then I put the number in the search window and came to this site. I never answer my landline unless the phone identifies it's my son and I wait to hear his voice. Stay safe folks.

Caller ID is "AMAZON" a robo voice left a message says "purchase of an iPhone... for $749... press one or stay on the line" No activity of this kind at all on my amazon account. Someone else above in the comments mentioned the exact same dollar amount with a similar story... SCAM!

It was a guy, potentially Arab, I couldn't understand him.....he proceeded to tell me someone tried to use my account for 730.00, I logged into the account while he was on the line and no one had tried to make a purchase, he started asking me what kind of cell phone did I have and I started asking him questions and he hung up. I immediately contacted Amazon to report the #. Be Careful! These are not real Amazon Sales reps! IT'S A SCAM...…..they are trying to collect your information! Hang up and block the number!

They called me again today. I did not answer. The caller ID did not have it listed as Amazon this time. But I remembered the number from the last time they called. Unbelievable. At least the number they call is a landline that I don't usually answer.

Yes, they called me. Almost believed them until they started asking for info that just sounded "phishy"..... Anytime I've gotten calls from bank institutions about fraudulent orders, they were very quick to remedy the situation. These people were argumentative and threatening when I questioned their intentions. HANG UP ON THEM IMMEDIATELY!!

Typical scum scam from slime that should be hunted down and killed..
Message from "Amazon" on caller id saying there was a large charge made to my Amazon account, which is interesting, since Amazon doesn't have any financial accounts, as all of these are third-party relationships.
Press 1 to speak to someone with poor communication skills to have your information stolen. .. Gee, no thanks.
Here's some free advice, if you ever get ANY unsolicited call regarding your financial information, ask which institution it is in regards to, and when they tell you, hang up and call them via a number you know.
If the caller doesn't want to provide that tell them to:
1 - Rot in hell, or any other expletive that comes to mind (preferably SCREAMED)
2 - Hang up
3 - Block the number
4 - Report the number to law enforcement

On February 6, 2020, I received a call from 888-280-4331 that was actually intercepted by "Robo Killer". "Robo Killer" recorded the call which I played back. The voice was female with a Midwest accent (which I call no accent) stating that my account was put on hold due to a suspicious purchase of over $600. Please respond by pressing "1" to verify. I did not (at least not intentionally make a purchase for that amount and not from Amazon. "Robo Killer" blocked the call. However, they always give you an option of clicking to allow the call. I clicked allow and almost called the number to find out more about the purchase. But before I did, I Googled the phone number and found that there were posted comments about a potential scam system dating back to 2014. I then checked my Amazon account to see if there were any purchases posted. I had made no purchases in the last 6 months. I can only imagine what the world would be like if people would spend their time and use their talents on legitimate endeavors.
