Received a message from a Michael Salvatore with "Asset Evaluations Department of Legal Processing" (in what can only be described as a stern, creepy tone). I researched them online & found information matching what was given in the voicemail--all pointing to a scam. I decided to call them back. A man answered and I had to ask who I was speaking with. He identified himself as Mark Anthony. I asked what company he was with & it seemed to throw him off, so I repeated my question. He stated "Asset Management & Associates". He was then trying to identify who I was when I asked where they were based out of. Again, he seemed flustered. After asking twice more, he hesitantly told me Hollywood,Florida. He then gave the last 4 digits of a SSN that doesn't match mine. I asked where they got my number. He was sounding more perturbed by this point & simply said it was "provided" to them. I asked from where. He stammered "where? What?". I asked who provided them my number. At this point he sounded outright angry when he said that if I wasn't the right person, then "we don't need to be having this conversation!" The last statement he made before hanging up on me was that he would remove my number from their call list. I'm curious to see if that happens.
