They call me too and I have not have any business with them or owed anyone anything. I suspect this is a scam for identity theft.

Name of the company is State Collection not affiliated with any particular state.

Collection agency that contracts with hospitals/medical institutions to collect outstanding debts. Called me a few times, when I answered no one on the line. I called back and spoke to someone who provided a reference number for an outstanding debt at a hospital. I decided to pay the hospital directly and it turned out to be legit.

When I asked who they were,all they Said is we sent a letter out, you need to call us back. When I said who are you he said have a nice day.

The computer asked if I was"my Name" and I pressed 1 to confirm. Then it hung up on me. weird! I hope it is not a scam.

Answered call from 8883031966, kept saying hello as no one would respond. Then rude lady came on stating she was State Collections. I told her I never heard of that. She stated I was being recorded and she was from State Collections. I told her she was being recorded, never heard of State Collections, you must be a scam since you blocked your caller ID. I told her if she called again I would report them to the Attorney Generals office, FTC and FCC along with filing harassment charges. She hung up on me.
