Scam. They allege a long ago "debt" from a generic-ish loan agency (pay day loan implication) and offer a "buy down" insisting if you pay their "lower" pay off figure the debt will be wiped. If not they threaten an increasing amount with leins and compound interest etc. Completely bogus

Called and claimed to be collection agency and only had last four of my social but couldn't verify the rest ! Fishy .

They call claiming to be TACS a sudsidary of Trans America insurance. A week before the same number called claiming to CM claims.

i get a call from an 888 number this time but this is a collection agency apparently. I get collection calls all the time for different people and when I ask to have my number removed, they hang up, and i still get calls.
