Last week it was Aaron Johnson from Kline & Burg to serve papers to my husband. Just got a message this afternoon from Darren Johnson (diff voice from last week) from Midlaw Office.

I just received a call from this number. I called them back trying to figure out what was going on. They said I owed money to US bank for an account I closed in 2007. I was kind of freaking out because I have been trying to keep my debts in check. He told me they would settle on a one time payment of $665. I told him I could not pay that much at one time and asked if I could make payments. He put me on hold for 15 minutes and when he came back on he told me that they could not do payments and but he go the price lowered to $500. I again told him that was to much and asked if he could give me a day or two to come up with the money and he said that I had till 4pm to come up with it. So I was freaking out and came back to work and was talking with my boss who recommended I look up the number. I did and found that this seems to be a scam. Thank you for easing my mind.

Just got a call from this number today claiming that I needed to respond to a summons. Thanks for reporting them. The person answered the phone as Kleiman and Burg. They were calling over a supposed debt with US Bank from an account I closed in 2004.

strong-armed collection scam, claim they have a certified document which needs to be delivered or 'serious action will be taken', they try to high pressure push you to contact them or give them info, ID theft/money scam. If they leave a message, it will include phone number and a supposed case number. Tell them you will report them for harrassment and they will stop calling.
