The strange thing about calls from this number is that even though they may call 2-4 times per day, they will never leave a message. I'm handicapped and only have a mobile phone so I really rely on voicemail to "answer" my calls which I then return. I only found out that these folks were from PayPal Credit here. The strange thing is that I do have a PayPal Credit account but a couple of months ago I started getting email bills from them saying that I had a $233 credit limit with them and that I was past due on it. Actually my PayPal Credit account has a $5,300 limit and I owe $1,100 on that and I haven't missed a payment since I've had the account. I called PayPal and they rectified the problem and for the past three months my bills and payments have been correct. So why are they calling and why won't they leave a voicemail? Or send me a bill via post? I don't like to block calls because it may be a friend calling... but I had a series of instances where it looked as if the calls were coming from my area code, even from Washington, D.C. (I will never donate money to a political campaign again). Just had to get this off my chest.

I received the same call and they were not able to provide any of my information so I knew it was not right. Frustratingly, I called PayPal which took no action and was no help when I reported the issue to them. They are calling 4-5 time per week.

These people tried to tell me that I had a credit account with Paypal. I don't . called Paypal and gave them this number and they were unable to identify it as a Paypal number. Paypal also verified that I don't have a credit account and cautioned me that if ANYONE calls and says they're from Paypal, to ask them for my account number. They should be able to provide it if it's a legitimate call. Soooo..this is pretty scammy.
