I was receiving several emails per day by these people, ( always different first names) only a couple hrs apart between email. Total SPAM email about getting Government student aid. They just list that phone # and tell you to call and there's no way to unsubscribe or opt out! I responded back to all the emails telling them they've violated the CAN SPAM act by not providing a way to unsubscribe. I said one more email from you all and I'll report you to FTC. I haven't gotten anything so far!
Just got an email from a "Sarah Johnson" to call that number for a Government's New Student Aid Program (or something). Based on what I'm reading from the other comments, may be a scam.
Pretending to be from a government student loan program it is one of the scam pay day loan places just block them and move on.
