Why You Should Watch Out for Government Scam Calls

Spam calls made by people who are trying to impersonate a legitimate government agency are commonly referred to as "government scams". These scammers make the calls to try to get private information from the people they are calling. The most common government agency scammers try to pose as is the IRS. They will call people and tell them they are wanted by the police for tax fraud or unpaid taxes. These calls can be very convincing, as they will tell you your full legal name as well as your address or social security number. However, they are scam calls are should not be trusted. Other agencies these robocalls pose as are the Social Security Administration, Medicare, the FBI, or police departments. All of these calls are spam calls and the callers are committing a crime, so you should not wire money to them or confirm your bank account information. The best thing to do when you believe you are unsure if you are having a conversation with a scammer is to hang up and call the real agency. True government agencies can be trusted and they will confirm whether or not you are wanted for a crime or have not paid your taxes.

I got a call from them also. I tend to get a lot of scam phone calls....I have started using the county name I live in and I say :_____ County Sherriff's Dept. Fraud Division a warrant has been issued for your arrest and they hang up and do not call me back

I have and my son has told them to quit calling and they still do. Actual name of the company is Credit Card Services. I know that the government shut down 4 companies making scam phone calls, wish that this company would be shut down also.

I have this number blocked previously. These scammers tried to go arpund Call Block to voicemail last week (which is reported here. Now they are calling every 2 mins leaving voice mails.
I have by choice NO credit cards therefore I have NO account to be called over except. These are SCAMMERS who need to STOP already! This is beyond annoying into harassment. I am getting angry.

This number has called me before as call straight ti voice mail from being blocked on Call Block.
Robo female voice had an annoyed inflection over my "Master Card account". Experion was not mentioned before I hung up.
I have and use NO credit cards by choice, so there is no valid reason for me to ever get a call like this except to try to Scam me out if my personsl and financial identity.
Don't let it happen to you!
