March 1, 2018 @ about 4:45 pm EST - Received same "Kathy Jackson" from Microsoft refund department message & to call 888-406-9087. I called, middle-eastern male stated that the service plan/ extended warranty company he works for is going out of business, can no longer service their customers, and is giving a full refund for the service plan purchase. I only needed to verify my information surrounding the purchase. He had purchase date, phone#, and purchaser name information. Scary. Said to call him back, verify everything, to get the refund.

Computerized voice saying that they are "Kathy Jackson" from the Microsoft refund department. Do scammers really think that simmering like that will work?
