Caller with Indian accent said there was a problem with my pc and microsoft had asked them to contact me. Caller wanted me to log on to my pc. I asked name of company and was told it was OnLine PC Care. Woman caller transferred me to male who gave his name as Steve. When I asked full name and ID number, he said Steve O'Brien, 11517. When I asked where company was located, he said India. He gave a call back number of (888)408-4117. He wanted me to log on to PC so he could fix problem with Microsoft. When questioned further, he hung up. Call came from NY 646-02-6605
Neither phone number will take a return call.

Antivirus software - also made a false claim at the start of the email that they had detected a Windows virus on our systems to argue that the software was necessary, even though we don't run Windows systems
