I got a Call from a local Number saying that we Owe $299.00 for Microsft! Its a Scam! Also I have been leaving Comments about getting Calls from 888-414-2430 and they Erase my Comments just for sharing my Opinions thats not very Polite!

We keep receiving calls from 1-888-414-2430 claiming that they want to refund us $299.99 due to an overpayment that we made. They said that their computers crashed and could not offer the refund in check form. They said that in order to receive the refund they wanted to remote access our computers and would provide us with a link that would get us our refund. I said why not just tell me the link and I can put it in myself? They said that is not how the system works. LOL. I knew this was a scam but I decided to play along. I then asked how did they come up with the amount $299.99 and what was our account number with Microsoft and the name as we have it listed with Microsoft? He said he could not provide me this information because the computers crashed. I then said well then how was he provided our information in order to contact us if their computers crashed. He got very irritated with me and said that I was not listening to him and that he has already explained to me what happend. I then asked to speak with a supervisor who was capable of answering my questions. I was put on hold and I could hear them speaking a foreign language other than english, a "supervisor" came on the line and when I proceeded to ask him to the same questions, he got upset and hung up on me. LOL. I hope this gets us removed from their call list.

888-414-2430 this number keeps calling saying: We are calling to refund your money as the company is going out of business. They insist that I turn my computer on so they can give a refund. Claims to be Microsoft. Have anyone else received this call. I suspect this is a scam.

Yup, they called me too.
I returned their call 30+ times, just to mess with them (I was bored). I got them up to $7,000 from $399.99, as soon as they would tell me to “log onto you computer” I would ask if was a scam. They always hung up on me. YES IT IS A SCAM! I don’t know how many times my friends called ‘em, lol.
