The consumer is receiving a lot of “Spoofed” numbers out of Texas from a company marketing time shares. The consumer believes that the company is “Transfer America” because the majority of the calls are coming from Texas, where this company is located out of. Today (3/1/2012) at 1:10pmfrom 800-200-2000. This number, like all of the numbers, belongs to a real business, who reported that their number has been misused by whoever this company is. The actual number for “Transfer America” is 888-452-3003. The consumer strongly suspects this is “Transfer America” engaging in this number spoofing.
