I received the same type of call; I tried to call the number back from my a landline and no answer. Obvious scam.

I just received the same fraudulent phone call. I did NOT answer and the unnamed caller had the audacity to leave a voicemail recording by an electronic voice saying that my "Microsoft windows has expired; your computer was shut down to renew. Call our toll free 1-888-471-1632." This is obviously a scam to try to extort money. Of course, I knew that my computer would not shut down and that my Windows is secure, which it is.

Recorded message saying that my Windows license key has expired and my computer will shut down. This is clearly fraud. License does not expire.
