They have called me 3 times.
Every time it calls it only rings once, then stops.
Received two calls from this number today. I didn't answer and no voicemail was left.
I received calls from this number at least twice, sometimes three per day. The one in the morning at approx 09:33 shows as unknown number. The others are from the one listed above. I just ignored it for a while, eventually I got pissed off and made it stop by doing this:
If you do speak to a customer service representative (CSR) asked to be placed on the "Do Not Call List". That should stop the calls. If not, tell the CSR that you are recording the conversation for the purposes of legal action. I know this works because I worked in several call centers when I was a student. RBC and other major credit cards sell you info to 3rd companies like VRI when you sign up for the card. You, as well as myself agreed to let it happen. It is all in the fine print. Read it!
The delay or 'dead-air' is a result of the automated dialing system. A computer is actually calling you. The human that eventually chimes in isn't responsible for the call. They are essentially just pawns that unfortunately have to work in call centers to make ends meet. Be polite and they will most likely help you. Don't agree to/buy anything they are selling. It is most likely Balance Protector Insurance. Total scam!
I answered, they said they are RBC bank, and asked me my date of birth something for my credit report. I didn't sure whether they are real RBC bank so I didn't give them.
Same here! Call me yesterday and today! Did not left a message!
