First of all, there is no number on the Suntrust web sight that matches the 888-494-0586. So I called Suntrust and they said that that number did not show up in there system. They said that there numbers for that type of service starts with 1-800.

Supposed to be Suntrust investigating a fraudulent charge on my card. I DON'T HAVE, AND NEVER HAD A SUNTRUST ACCOUNT. Wanted all kind of personal information to "verify" my account, like full name, address, and social security number! Their English wasn't very good, either.

Extremely poor, scratchy connection made to someone obviously in India, asking for my SSN, home address, etc. to "verify" my card. Tried to tell me that a purchase was declined on a CARD THAT DOES NOT EXIST. This is NOT Suntrust.

Then your people should not ask for my card number, expiration date, and three digit code on the back!

I work in this department, this is our automated voice response unit. It tries to reach you thru phone call or SMS, if not then it will leave you a voice message or send you a letter. This is about your Suntrust debit or credit card having activities/ transactions that we want to check on. If we cannot contact you then we will place a block on the card, most of the time it is blocked before we call you to not allow the transaction go through. Legitimate SunTrust Security Department.

I received 2 phone calls from this number regarding large purchases on my debit card. At first I was skeptical and then decided to call the number on the back of my debit card. They transferred me directly to the fraud department who then verified that there was a hold on my card until I could verify that I made the purchases in question. After verifying, my card was unblocked. The overall process took no more than 3 minutes. Kudos to any company that goes to this length to protect my money.

This is a LEGITIMATE call from SunTrust's security department. They called twice but did not leave messages because I do not have my voice mail personalized with my name. I called the customer service # who verified the calls and informed me that a hold was placed on my checking card after making a large purchase from Louis Vuitton store online. Louis Vuitton also charged $1.00 to the account first before the true purchase amount which is what raised the red flag. They transferred me to the security department where I had to confirm the charges were authorized. The hold was then released. They are doing their job in securing your money!
