Yes, this is a scam! they directly asked for the credit card number... I hung up before them :)

So I was on a porn site doing what most bachelors are doing when on this type of site and there was this pop-up. No matter how many times I tried to dismiss it, or clear it I was always unsuccessful. It was worrisome to me since it said that it could put my personal information at risk. Not something you want to have happen when your in full congress with yourself. Anyway called the number from my landline and an automated machine answered asking me to wait for the next available representative. Seconds later a gentleman with a thick Punjabis accent answered and said hello and was like how can I help you? Well if you were apple tech support you probably would have answered and said so along with your name and asked me "how may I be of help today?" Anyway the pop up said don't use Internet, or social media sites or do any online shopping. You may have spyware installed already and they can view my pictures or remotely access my camera, blah, blah, Which is what made me investigate it. So then I google apple tech support and find out that number was obviously not the correct number. Came here and saw it was a scam I'm thankful to have seen this and the comments because it puts me at ease. I hope my feedback helps someone as the previous comments helped me.

Scam scam scam!!! I went to settings and cleared history as instructed above. The accent is so thick you can't understand these people except they want payment. Please do not fall for these imposters who did identify themselves as APPLE when asked.
