Heather from Card Services, we can lower your interest rate on your current credit card, this is the last (ha!) call. I played along with her until she asked for the credit card number, and I said I wouldn't give it to her, she said that it was ok, that the bank would protect the card. I insisted on not giving her the number, my husband interevened, and she eventually hung up.

Hey- Can anyone help me! These people called me today and were very rude. I had just called all my credit card companies the other day and asked if they could lower my rate, but it wasn't possible. Anyways- these people called today.. and after telling me alot of the information like my name my number, where i had the card at.. my balance on the card.. i gave him the remaining #'s of my card, and the exp date. I never gave him the Security code. After being weirded out and losing connection with them i called back the 1888 number he gave me and the lady said they were a 3rd party company and not affiliated with Visa or Master Card. the guy on the phone said they were. Now i'm upset she asked for my number to look it up in her system and she said that i wasn't in her system so he must not have submitted it.? I called and cancelled all the cards and marked them as stolen so if someone uses them they will know. But Now i am scared. Is there anything else i should do??

I instantly knew this was a scam. I am very leary of giving my card number out even if I contact a buisness myself. I kept these idiots on the phone from 12:23 pm untill 1:19 pm it was great!! I pissed off three different people! A lady named Nerzana at extension #245 called me from an unavailable #. She gave me the same bullcrap story as the other peoples comments said. I got the same 1-888#, The longer I kept the pushey lady on the line debating how i dont think I should give them my # the more pissed she became. After a while I decided to look up the # on google search and I came up with this site while I was on the phone with them (by the way thank you for the heads up!). At this time I decided to have a little fun with these scamming idiots. After asking her to give me my name and tell me what the second four #'s on my card was she got tired of being questioned, so she passed me to her supervisor. He was nice at first so I had to see how much I could piss him off also. His name was Bernardo. I asked him the same questions untill he became short and pushy. I told him I needed to confirm this call by hanging up and calling the # they gave me he told me I couldn't...Wow!! So I told him I'll just call from my other phone and could he just stay on the line with me untill they answer. He agreed. After debating with him for some time and being on hold on the 1-888# The line hung up on me, so I told him and he suggested I call back the #. But first I must give him the number to my card. So I told him to hold on. I then wrote down 16 random #'s so I could rember them, and I gave them to him. I did and kept him on the line for the whole time Oh was he becoming pissed. He decided to put me on the line with another man named Patrick he claimed to be the main supervisor all off them sounded like they had an indian accent. I said wait a minute you told me your company is based out of florida. He said yes it is. I said the trace I'm running on this number show the number doesn't have a point of origin in the united states. He said well your system must be wrong. he kept insisting that I repeat the number I gave him because they are not matching any mastercard or visa #'s .I told him he must be mistaken because I have $11,000 credit limit on it and I just bought gas the other day. This went on for a while untill I asked him for an actuall adress where I could mail a photo copy of my card. I guess he couldn't take it any more...almost an hour later and the damn guy hangs up on me!!!! I was just starting to have fun!! People DONT BE VICTOMS!!!!!!! have fun with these people PISS them off. Play games with them. Ruin their day. Dont let them hang up on you. I strung them along for almost an hour!! I bet you cant top that!! If you can keep them on the phone for longer.......I would like to hear about it......But I bet you cant!! lol

Very Sly ... you know if they are pushy, can't or wont give you any info to put you at ease, IT'S GOTTA BE A SCAM!!
Rec'd a call just now, silence at first, then a recording about lowering your interest rate. press 1 for connect w/an agent that can help you or press 2 to Stop Recvg Calls. I pressed 2 & still got a rep...SCAM.
I went along for a bit, yes he asked me to complete my credit card # - he had the first 7 digits. Sure, he had the rest of the # - He said [Sure]. So, at one point I said "give me the last 2 digits of the card #", If he had that then I felt he prob did have the rest - BUT HE WOULDN"T.
Now he says HE's not sure I am the card holder. VERY Clever. They have all of the answers, know how to reply. Be VERY CAREFULL. When I asked for the phone # he said if I hang up know I will not be able to receive the reduced interest rate. - Yes, They Know All the Right Responses to hook you.
Just Hang UP!!!!

This is the # he gave me 888-577-7963. Financial Advising services is how they answer.
