If you received this call and you are on the Do Not Call registry, This is a violation of the DNC laws. File a complaint at https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx?panel=2.
Other companies have tried the sweepstakes gimmick to get you to attend one of their presentations. No matter what the small print says on the registration ticket, they do NOT have the right to call you. The FTC is investigating companies who ignore the laws for telemarketing information.
Just got a call from "amber" about a 2011 ford SUV I won in a contest. Called back and amber had left, the guy started to ask questions you would think they would know after all they had my "entry form". what a scam.
Amber left a message about being a finalist to win a 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid. The number I wrote down went through the wash in the pants I wore today. Found the number in the pocket and called back. After being transferred the correct extension I was told Amber would be back in an hour. Upon asking what this number was I was told I was one of 100 finalists who could win a 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid in a drawing to be held in a few weeks and that if I won I'd be told how much taxesl I would have to pay. Called back in an hour to reach Amber and it just kept ringing and ringing. Then common sense got the better of me and I Googled the phone number and saw that this is a scam.....
Just got a call today from Amber. Just like the other posts, she was in a meeting. The man who answered was Harris. He asked me my age, my income and my living situation ie married, attached or single. He said there would be a final drawing this Saturday and I was one of 50 finalists. Sounds like a timeshare pitch to me. Thank God for the web!
Received the call from Amber. When I called back I was told she was in a meeting and that I was talking with Miss Harris. She said I had won one of 4 prizes, a 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid, a trip (including airfare) to Las Vegas, Orlando, or Cancun, a $2500 Cashiers Check or a 32" Flat Screen TV. I was told my husband and I had to drive to 1425 TriState Pkwy, Suite 130, in Gurnee IL. She gave me a claim number and said we would have to listen to a 15 minute presentation and then we would be given a scratch off ticket for one of the 4 prizes.
Anyone ever go to one of these presentations? I realize they're going to try and sell a timeshare, but has anyone ever gone to it?

Received the exact same call a few days ago. Amazing that they are still going ...
Reporting this to the BBB and do not call registry.
Especially with our current economy, it really "burns my beans" that there are scammers attempting to rip-off hard working people.
There has to be an answer ...
Since it is the same address, perhaps we should plan a voluntary consumer raid! :)
