Got unsolicted fax for mortgage modification (we don't even own a home). Remove no doesn't work, so wrote in margins to remove me and faxed back. IN return I got 16 pages of 'black' designed just to eat my toner. I'm sick of these dirtbags so want to share what I did:

Ok, here's some info for all of you.

First, do *57 on your fax machine to attempt to put a trace on the number. It gives a 'marker' for anyone who wishes to subpoena the info from the phone company - AT&T in our case.

Then go to FCC website here: https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088.action?form_type=1088A Fill out the form and submit. If we can get some of these people up on charges, it will make the world a better place.

I'm going to start filing on every junk fax. We're on Do Not Call list and have no need for any of these services. State Attorney's office says it's clearly harassment and illegal.

I also phoned the FCC here: 888.225.5322 to be sure I was filing the correct form.
