If you call back they want your name which they shouldn't need since they already have your phone number if this is legitimate business. I think they want to get as much info as possible so they can continue to hassle you over imaginary debts. I threatened to call the Illinois Attorney General and file a fraud complaint against them when I caledl them back. I suggest all of you who have received calls do the same. They are fishing for info. I am sure of this because I have no debts.

My debit card was hacked about a week ago. The person actually made a physical card with my number and used it in a store. My card and account was quickly secured by my bank.

Now I started getting calls from this phone number. Possibly the same people who got my debit card info and now are trying to get more info from me.
Bills should come in my mailbox, not by phone.

Called my elderly mom twice now, the caller represents himself ("Jack") as working for "Candace Wright Process Servers" claiming to be calling on behalf of someone my sister divorced more than twenty years ago, giving the false impression that my mom is about to be served (which is of course a ridiculous tactic since real process servers never call you to tell you that they're planning on serving you). All information indicates that this is in fact NCO Financial, a huge debt collection agency, that has been sanctioned by the Commonwealth of Pennnsylvania and also the State of Texas for violations of state and federal debt collection laws. Apparently they can afford the fines (more than $2 million by Pennsylvania alone), since they continue engaging in illegal activity. The debt collection biz must be good.

These people have called my mother-in-law, brother-in-law and ex husband from 29 years ago insisting I owe them money and unless I call them back, they will serve papers to these people if they can't get me. I finally called and they wanted me to verify my SSN, birth date and home address. While I waited for them to 'verify', there was silence and the guy said, ' OK, go ahead'.
Yea....are you kidding me, I'm not giving out my info and he said 'this is how we do things'. I don't know who these people are or what they want, but BEWARE, don't give your info to anyone.

I've been in the same place with the same phone number for 14 years, it's no secret and I'm listed, so WTH?!?!??!?!?!?!?!

First received a call from a blocked #, the guy said I had to call 888-745-8841 or I would be served by the sheriff! I called the number and a Kenny Smith told me that I owed $ from a account that was opened in 2000! I had to pry and get the supposedly account # that I owed $ on, he threatened legal actions and liens against my car etc. I went to my bank and the account # that Kenny Smith at National Filing Service gave me, is not connected to my name, it is not even existing in my banks system, and they did a thorough search. Please do not give them any more info, and please report them, it is a SCAM!!!!
