This company does not identify themselves. They are calling my parents who I have not lived with for 20 years. They do not send a bill and when asked, refuse to provide a fax number.

Keep receiving calls from 1-888-748-4956. When I answer the phone, the line is silent, then starts beeping like I've left the phone off the hook. When I call the number back, the representatives ask for my 16 digit account number. Are they for real?
1. I don't have any credit cards.
2. I've had this phone number for more than 1 1/2 years so I'm sure it's not an honest mistake.
3. Why the hell would I give them my credit card number, even if I had one!?
4. Hell no I don't want to lower the interest on my non-existent credit card account!
When I ask them who they represent, they respond that they are calling on behalf of Capital One. I have requested that they remove my phone number from their list 3 times!!! This last time, the representative gave me a number to call if I still receive calls after 48 hours! Well, I've already waited MORE than 48 hours & still am receiving 4 or more calls per day... 7 days a week... between 8 am & 9 pm!!! The phone number she gave me was 1-800-811-4214, "Consumer Advocacy Group," & when I called, they asked if I knew a Michael Sharp (k?) They wanted to know my name & phone number again. This representative sounded JUST LIKE the one from Allied! Surprise surprise!!

This number calls mu house several times a day, including early in the morning and late at night. If you answer, there is either music followed by a hang up or just a hang up.

They have called twice in 24 hours looking for the old tenant. I'm not sure how they got our phone number since the only thing we have in common is the address. Each time they ask for the old tenant and I tell them that they have the wrong phone number, to stop calling, and remove my number from their list. They always say they will, tell me that this phone call has been recorded for "quality purposes" and hang up on me.

they called looking for someone who's address is near mine looking for someone else who use to live next door to me, i told them not to call back because this is not the right number, I then googled the number after I *67 and it was from capital one. I told them I don't have an account and not to call back.

They have called my number 5 times today alone. They do not leave a message at all. I work days and nights so this is going to be annoying after reading other comments. I have notified capital one of the calls. I was told I missed one payment to them, that is why they are calling me. I made a payment twice on the same account ( I have two accounts) honest mistake. Never been late before, capital one is crediting my other account. Not going to tolerate these calls either!

Doesn't the "do not call" list help prevent these? How do we "turn them in"?

allied "interstate" services this time... last time(10 minutes ago) they said they were allied financial services... they ask for your 16 digit credit card number immediatly, no, "hi sir how are you etc. etc. etc." hell no, I accused them of being fraudulent and demanded my F&&$*% number to be removed from their list, and her additude changed real quick when i explained to her that fraudulent meant "bad, Not Good, No Bueno"... then the bitch has the audacity to hang up on me.... cunt. but my number "was" removed... we'll see.

Caller: I called back!

They have been calling me twice a day, 6 days a week for months. Now they are calling on Sundays also. I have been called while driving in the middle of an intersection, mother's orthepedic doctors office while the doctor was talking, They hang up after three rings and leave no message. Who do they think they are. This is crazy.

This company is called Allied Collections, and I have learned that they are outsourced by Capital One. I have had no less than 20 calls from them over the last 4-5 weeks. I have an account with Cap One, but my credit with them is impeccible, so there is no good excuse for their harrassment. I finally called this number, and when they answered it was, "What's your credit card number?", not " Hi, how are you today?" With whom am I speaking?" or even " What is your address?" Just, " What is your credit card number?" Of course, I refused, and proceeded to tear his hide, telling him to do not ever call this number again, or he will be facing fines ( in two weeks, this company will be facing a $ 1000.00 fine per call. I then called Capital One credit cards, as per instructions from Capital One Bank, but was given an address to mail in a written request to have the calls stopped. I was afraid to mail in anything with any information on it, so I called Capital One Bank back, and they were kind enough to help me get these calls stopped. They are the ones who told me that this company was outsourced by capital One. Whatever you do, DO NOT give your credit card number to these jerks from Allied. Ask them for something in writing; if they have you number, chances are great they also have your address. I find it odd that I never have received anything in writing regarding any account in collections.
