Picked up a voice mail dated 3/17 from "Michael Santis" of Process Server Dispatch with a summons to appear in Kansas City, also providing a Docket No. He named an individual for whom I am named a witness -- a name I don't recognize in a city 1,100 miles away where I know nobody and have never been near.
Over the years, I have been served with summonses to appear as witness related to my work. Whether local or from out of State, they were never handled in this manner. And my husband, an attorney, immediately recognized this as a scam. His first question: "How much money did they say you have to send to keep from being arrested?"
I'm sorry, Corey, I will not be testifying on your behalf.

I also got a got this morning and other days before. The woman stated her name as Linda Fontane. She had a script she was reading from and said I was going to be served a docket number CA201525xx (last 2 numbers omitted) and that I was to be at the place of service between 12pm and 5pm. She said also that she was from Nationwide Court and Attorney Services. I looked that up and there is nothing on the Internet with that company name. THEN.....I got a call from a friend of mine who told me that she got a call from this same person telling her about my being served and that she should tell me about being served. I thought that was illegal! I don't owe anything!!!!!! I'm glad to see the other comments. Makes me feel a lot better.
Caller: Nationwide Court & Attorney Services
Landlord got a voicemail from "Karen Miller" from "United Legal Services" requesting to verify my info so I could be served to appear in court and left the 888 number. I immediately called back and spoke with a gentleman named "Chris Morrison" who stated he was a case manager for "Keegan Legal Services". These people are unprofessional and use illegal tactics. I called back today asking for the address and actual name of the company and was hung up on 12 times. I guess they don't like it when people constantly call them... TOTAL SCAM
PROCESS SERVICE DIVISION SAYING THEY WERE GOING SERVE ME PAPERS
