Called several times after 10:00 p.m. , then began again at 7:15 a.m. Finally, answered the call and waited until connected. Stated that I was going to block the call and alert the authorities if they called again. Silence, but it has been an hour since that last call.

A scam stating that we had won a $100 gift card because of our credit card ending in XXXX. They wanted to verify our address. I told them that there is NO reason for them to have any info at all from us. To STOP calling. Have told them to not call 5 times.

Called saying they were from VISA. Verified my phone number, address and last 4 digits of my VISA card saying they were sending me a $500 gift card as a "thank you" for using my card. Then she wanted to record me stating my name and address and saying "correct" after she repeated it back to me. Something started not feeling right. When she said was I between the ages of 18 and 80 I said I had had enough of the call, that she could send something in the mail if she wanted me to look at it and hung up. My husband said they now have a recording of me repeating my name and address and saying "correct" . . . things that could be used with a recording device to make purchases or whatever with my name. I am glad I didn't give her any more information. It pays to beware! Anyone else had any experiences with this number and call?

Number has called me many times. Woman has said that I get a $500 gift card for being a loyal customer to VISA and then proceeds to ask me personal information for "verification" reasons.

Okay if anyone gets a receipt from say.... Target or Walgreens and it says " ENTER OUR MONTHY SWEEPSTAKES FOR A CHANCE TO WIN $3,000.00" and you do by calling the 1-800 number that they ask you to call. This is the number that calls you back. I have seen where some people said that they (1-888-777-5544) have there credit card number or some info (address) from when you ENTERED the monthly sweepstakes. The reason they might have your last 4 digits of your card number is because when You call to enter the SWEEPSTAKES they ask you for the survey # and password form your receipt. It all adds up.
Nothing is for free and so to avoid getting these calls stop entering these STUPID SWEEPSTAKES!!!!!!!!

Ummm... no... it is NOT because of the "stupid sweepstakes." I have NEVER entered a sweepstakes... yet I have received a call from the 888 number in question. As a matter of fact, I was quite upset with the fact that they called me at 10:30 at night and, after telling them to take me off their call list, called again at 8:21 the next morning.
