called my deceased relative's cell phone and when i called back from my home phone, they knew what relative I was calling about! that means somehow they have connected the estate together. My relative had no debts and also hasn't even been dead 30 days yet so wouldn't be anywhere near collection status. What a terrible company. I refused to give my name so the girl refused to give me details and said she had mailed a letter. Great! I'll wait for the mail and shred it

Scam insurance caller. I blocked this on my home phone with EveryCaller and they still called me afterwards. Why doesn't this work?

This is bullshit. They are just ambulance chasers who prey on unsuspecting people who have suffered a great loss in their life. If it is true, wait until you get a certified letter that you can respond to. It is as bad as the leeches who say they are "Officer so snd so from the IRS). It is a known fact the IRS does not refere to themselves as officers. HANGUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They called regarding my late fiance', who died over a month ago. Asked me who the executor of his estate was. I told them I had no idea and that if they are going to call people, they should let them know what the call is about before saying the informationis confidential.

Predatory vultures. Left no message. Looked them up and read comments so I called them, told them not to call me again, lady asked for a reference number and my reponse was reference f...k... you. My father died five months ago and now the scum of the earth are out. He had no unpaid bills. I even paid his income tax days before he died.

This number from AscensionPoint called my step-son and left a message about my father who passed away recently. My step-son obviously has no blood relation or name similarity to my father. I suspect this 'company' (and I use that term lightly) uses public records to find the recently deceased, looks them up on social media to find their contacts, then goes back to public records to lookup those contacts' phone numbers. Or they have software that does all that for them.

Opportunistic vultures is what these people (another loosely used term) are. If they want to buy written-off debt for pennies on the dollar, than that's their risk. Don't harass people grieving the loss of a loved one!

We recently lost a family member and beginning about a week afterwards, these people have been calling daily. The answering machine always shows the number and name Unavailable. They call and leave a message stating they are from Ascension Point trying to contact the person authorized to speak about the deceased person's estate. They leave a name (most recently the rep was Kristy) and number to call back and tell you to call them back even if they have the wrong number. This is a major scam, we know what debts are owed and they are being taken care of and we do not discuss these matters with people who contact us. SCAM!

From what I have read they prey on ppl that have recently lost a member in your family. They bagger you into thinking you owe money to them. It is a scam. I didn't talk to them.
