Called again this morning but the number showed up, so I answered, to no reply, of course. Called DE today and they said it's a reminder to pay my bill. Told them I received no response when I picked up, and they had no answer for that. Guessing DE outsources your number to an annoying agency that will call you incessantly to remind you to pay your bill. Gg, Direct Energy.

Called many times, but showed up as "Withheld" number. Answered but no one on other end. Finally received a voicemail today "regarding urgent personal business" and asked me to call this number and provide my DE account number. Not sure why they would be outsourcing for a late payment, I signed up for AutoPay awhile ago and have not missed a payment. Calling DE customer service tomorrow.

Calls, no message, rings no answer when calling back but have seen on my Direct Energy bill if you are late, they will charge $25.00 fee for outsourcing. So assuming that Direct Energy outsources to a call center for bills past due date and pass the cost on to the customer.
