Received a call from this number today. A recorded message said I had a -$54 balance and to press 1 to make a payment. Not today Scammer Bob, not today! I am not behind with PayPal.

We must stay vigilant against these thieves.

This is truly Paypal or a collections company for them. At first, I thought it was SPAM, but then I checked my PP account and found out that my credit card had expired, therefore a couple of items I bought on Ebay didn't clear my PP account. They paid it, but I had to ADD MONEY to my account and update my credit card. I gave no sensitive information and only updated my card and resolved my negative balance once I confirmed all of this with Paypal. If you are getting calls from this number I would suggest that it is legit.

Could be spoofed CID. It's not really possible for me to owe paypal any money. I've used the account twice in the last five years.

yea I got a call this morning, they tried to scam me out of $2500 which I allegendly owe someone, I don't owe anything, they claimed to work directly for PayPal yet there's no mention of this number anywhere on paypal's site

Called and hung up when I answered. I Googled the number and found this site. Then I called the number back using *67 to block my number. I asked if it was Paypal and they said yes. So I told her to stay on the line while i called Paypal and was going to merge the calls. She did not stay on the line with me she hung up. The confirmed paypal person i called w phone number and access code confirmed 888 895 5705 is Paypal collections and they call on negative balances. I was very skeptical but this is a legitimate number for Paypal collections in Arizona. i did have a negative balance because of a Paypal error so them calling me made sense. Collections also indicated they have 8- 10 887 numbers they use. If you think it is a scam CALL Paypal directly and confirm.

I bought something from Ebay and was stupid to even talk to them.
Did not get the young ladies name. They were going to pay $25 toward my purchase. The first month the low monthly fee would be $1.25. All months after that $15.00 a month. I think i really got scammed.
I will be monitoring my credit card every day. what a ID10 t.
