I was threatened by some clown named mr davenport . They told me I would do 180 days in jail unless I paid them 1200 dollars . I asked who the debtors were and they said payday loan which was put into a bankruptcy last year . I called my local courts to see if they had warrants and I was told no and most likely they were scammers.

Thank you all for your posts! I have received calls too and it's usually around 4 or 5 p.m. with the same threats and telling me that I or my lawyer needs to call them back for pre-trial intervention. I hope they get caught and are prosecuted to the fullest extent. I would be a willing witness that would love to tell the court how they try to threaten people to pay them money. I like one of the above posts that these idiots need to find a real job and leave innocent people alone. God Bless all of you

some man named Travis called my husband's cell phone and said I owed them money and that I could settle for $1200 today or they would process bank fraud charges against me. I asked for their name and the lady said she was Rebecca Gaines with Litigation Practices. I looked up their information online and was unable to verify anything. A number she gave me to call her back on was 901-313-8552. Each time I have called her I have been placed on hold and have difficulty getting anyone to speak with me.

Pre-trial Intervention is for people that have been arrested already. It is a chance to seek rehabilitation rather than the traditional court prosecution. These people are scammers...don't fall for it.

I have received 2 calls from this creep! Travis Means, from pre trial interventions, It is really sad, get a real job scum bag and quit trying to take advantage of folks!

Called me twice within an hour

I too received threatening phone calls from these people. When I pushed for further details what this was about I was threatened more and hung up on several times. They have old information on me, my credit report doesn't reflect I owe anybody (checked it today). They threaten to have you charged and a warrant issued out on you if you don't pay. Bring it!

I got a call from these people today also. They had my old name, my former address from 4 years ago, not even the same state I am in now and made threats I owe them. When I tried to find out what they were talking about they just made stupid comments like it wasn't their job to remind me who I owe and said they would issue a warrant out for my arrest. Terrorist tactics is against the law and I have a right to know who is trying to sue me. They said something about a payday loan with a company I've never heard of. I got a copy of my credit report today and mentions nothing. The only Travis means I find has a mug shot in Tennessee. It's a complete scam.

I have gotten this calls with this exact same line WORD FOR WORD from other illegal collection agents. Along with the same illegal threats that if I do not call them by close of business today I will be taken to court. I never have been. These frauds are strictly into scare tactics which are completely illegal. IGNORE THEM! REPORT THEM!
