I received a call from Professional Investigator Brittney Lewis(Willis) who said a complaint and restraining order has been issued for me. She said that they have tried to serve me several times at my house and confirmed my address. She wanted the first 5 digits of my social security number which I did not give her. Case number provided was DSMC5118. They further went on to say that it might be related to a Discover Card (which I've never owned) or possibly a Pay Pal account that was closed and paid in full in 2005, but that I am being charged with fraud and malicious intent and need to appear in court within 24-48 hours in front of a judge. They wanted my checking account information to set up a payment plan which would be reduced to $451.00 if I made a payment of $125.00 immediately. I told them I didn't have a checking account and if they needed to serve me, I'm home as I am unemployed at this time and hung up. The number they provided to me was 904-270-9922.

why not call your local FBI office when you get these calls and do a 3 way call with the FBI Investigator on the phone with you. Let's really get back at them. This way FBI will here it themselves and see if they can stop this. That is what I told my cousin to do.

I received a call from a Devin King also, then I got a call from my sister stating that Devin King called her house looking for me also. Boy do I have something to say to them next time they call. Also my attorney also stated that it is a scan so beware everyone.

I just got a call from "SPECIAL AGENT" Sherri Fields. The caller ID displayed "BLOCKED." She was looking for Troy Davis (never heard of the guy) and gave me the same pitch as described in other posts (threat of restraining order, show cause, appear in court, etc.) At the end of the call, she also wished me good luck!

Was called by a restricted # , voice mail was left by a guy calling himself special investigator Devin King, letting me know I had 24-48 hours to respond in court as I was being named in a restraining order. I was given a case number, and a contact number of 904-270-9922. He also wished me good luck.Jerk

Devin King's a busy guy! He called for me yesterday and my wife took the call. I called back and got very little information from "Christine," because I refused to tell her the first three digits of my social security number. I've received several bogus collection calls a number of times over the past few years, because I have a fairly common name. Three years ago I sued a collection company for violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, and the settlement my attorney squeezed out of the SOB's paid for my summer vacation. My advice to others being harassed: Do a search for "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act" and learn how to compose and send a cease-and-desist order. If you write a letter properly and have it properly delivered by certified mail, you can build a case that many attorneys might be willing to take on on a contingency basis; i.e., their fees are paid by the defendant, not by you. It's definitely worth the effort. I think I ended up costing the company I sued about $10,000.

By the way, the mailing address one of the Global Arbitration and Process Servers agents gave me was this:

Global Arbitration and Process Servers
4720 Salisbury Rd.
Jacksonville FL 32256

But I haven't confirmed this with any public record. She may have been lying to me.

Note: I called the manager of the office building at the address I gave above, and the manager had never heard of Global Arbitration and Process Servers.

Yeah I got a call from Tracy Jordon stating that I had a restraining order against me. So when I call back they ask me about some credit card and can I set up a payment. I told them I was unemployed and didnt have any money so then she asks me if I even have prepaid credit cards. I know about the cease and desist letters so I asked for there address and she gave me

I received the same call from a special investigator Brittany, who said I failed to file a claim. That I had 24-48hrs to call back or my lawyer,or i could be arrested!! I did call this number back and spoke with a man named Mark who told me that a card company was charging me with fraud, and haven't i received any papers to sign? No, that there would be someone to serve me this week and would be in court next week. They would go to my employer and make them aware of the fraud, and i could go to jail.He then offered me payments,or payoff. This man seemed to know a lot about me, however he used my maiden name, which is not what i had on any of my debts! This made me concerned, so I called my lawyers office to see what i should do.They then looked this number up and told me this could be a scam. They also told me that if they call back, ask for an address and contact person. If they wont give it,hang up! Do not give them any personal information. That if I receive any paperwork to contact them.DO NOT PAY THEM!!!! This is either a scam or a way to scare you! Watch yourself!

Another thing: These people will tell you they have an affidavit sworn out against you, which is just laughably meaningless. Anyone could go to a notary public and have any statement certified, whether true or not. An affidavit merely certifies that a statement was made, not that it has any foundation in fact. As collection rackets go, this one seems rather lame and desperate.

I found this call on my answering machine when I got home. Thing is, they were calling for somebody I don't know. It was a wrong number on their end! :-)

Investigator called from a unknown number and stated that someone had made a complaint against me, and if I knew what was best for me, I'd call back. My husband and his mother have received their own harassing calls, but these monsters are saying the are part of the sheriffs office and they are coming to arrest them if they don't comply.

I too got a call todayfrom a "Special Investigator" telling me that I have a restraining order" against me and that I needed to appear in court and to send this case # starting with OHS to my attorny. They called twice once as a David Green and another as Robert Rose.
I have gotten several calls from diffrent phone #'s in the past few months with bogus claims that I owe money and if I do not pay they will take me to court. THESE COMPANIES ARE SCAMS!!!!! DO NOT FALL INTO WHAT THEY ARE TELLING YOU

I got this same call 2 days ago and the lady left a message on my answer machine. The person who called told me she was a "special investigator" and that there was a "restraining order" against a family member and he was named as a respondent, and that I needed to "forward this information to my attorney.

This is a collection agency, pretending to be a "special investigator". I called the number and found out that it is a collection agency. The person I called told me she was a "special investigator" and that there was a "restraining order" and that I was being named as a respondent, and that I needed to "forward this information to my attorney." I set up a payment arrangement, and the "special investigator" told me that she was forwarding me to the "claims" division; only the person at the "claims" division sounded EXACTLY like the "special investigator" and did not give me her name when she picked up the "transferred" call.
