I have received a total of 6 calls within the last two days from this Jacksonville FL number. They leave threatening vm's saying that there is a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion. When I call them back knowing full well that it us a scam, I ask for Sarah Wilson. The person who answers says that they cannot provide me with any information unless I give them mine. I do not confirm my name or number. At this point they become irate and tell me that the police are on their way to arrest me. I have asked them to remove me from their call list and they tell me that they will not remove my number. I have had them blocked since yesterday. They originally called from (904) 425-1738 at 9 am yesterday morning but that number is out of service as of this afternoon.
Just read these people United States Code Title 18, Chapter 43, Section 912. It is basically that impersonating a government employee is a crime. They become very irate and hang up on you. They told me they were losing customers wasting their time talking to me. haha. cool
The callers name was Cindy Marshall. She basically threatened me that I would be arrested by the Federal Department of Investigations. One problem, I don't have a criminal record.
Got a call from this number. W stated they were calling from the Federal Investigations Department and their was a legal case filed against me. Woman's name was Lekia Kim. I'm glad I was able to figure out it was a scam.
Yes, I got a similar call from 904-365-8409. Heavy accent woman, had my full name (and obviously my cell #). Started telling me about a case number, some investigation. I hang up on her, but she called right back. Rejected the second call, then put the caller's phone no. on the blocked list (iPhone). Indeed, scary that they had my full name!
