RECORDED SALES CALL - "Free" Home Security ... Received a recorded call @ 12:06 pm (from 904-713-2528) which stated “Hi, this is Joan from Home Security System, you have been selected to receive a free home security system”, the recorded message then asked the questions if I was “a homeowner and interested in a free security system?” If yes, please stay on the line. Since this was the 2nd call I received from them I waited and a female answered answered and identified herself as April from Impact Home Security. April asked if I was a homeowner and what zip code I lived in so she could check and see if there was any free systems available. I verified what the name of the company was (Impact Home Security) and asked where they were located. April replied “Orlando”. I then responded that if you are in Orlando, that you should know that a recorded messages were illegal in Florida. April stated that she would be glad to remove my number from their system if I wasn’t interested. I replied that I am on the Florida & National “Do Not Call” list and asked why they were still calling me ... April hung up.
