I received a call regarding lowering my interest rate on my major credit cards. When the man asked me how much credit card debt I had and I explained that I didn't want to discuss that with a total stranger, he said "Then get off my Fu--ing phone you ignorant bastard and hung up.

It was a pre-recorded message from "card services" wanting to lower my interest rates. They said we could hit the number 1 to speak with a representative, or to press 2 to have my number removed from their call list.

I pressed one, and was immediately patched through to "Jason". I asked him what financial institution he represented, and asked me if I had a Visa or MasterCard. I again asked him what company he worked for, and he said "Bank of America". I asked him for his toll free customer service number. He gave me 800-858-0561.

I hung up and called that number, and was immediately connected to a customer service representative who answered 'Card Services". I asked her what company she works for, and she said "Visa". I then hung up.

I knew the whole thing was a misrepresentation because I have no credit cards, and they called me on my work cell phone.

Scam call about credit. Stayed on line to speak with rep and ask to discontinue calls. Incredibly rude and obscene man named "Jim" answered and berated me for asking any such thing. I look forward to tracking them down and performing a but of harassment of my own....

Pre-recorded message about lowering credit card interest rates. Probably a fishing scam.
