They called my wife, woke her up and scared her. They even knew our last name. Said they were in Georgia for a funeral and had an accident. Said a lawyer would be calling back and his name was Diaz. Even gave case number. But would not tell her their name, just "this is your grandson". Scumbags must think people are really stupid. Hope no one really falls for this bs.
Caller asked for grandpaw, and said he was my oldest grandson Jacob. The name is right but not my oldest. He said he sounded funny because he had a broken nose. He had a few drinks, had wreck, failed breathaliser test. Don't tell anyone. My grandson does not call me grandpaw. A broken nose does not give you an accent. He hung up before completing the scam.
Grandma, this is your grandson! I am in Atlanta Georgia and in jail, my lawyer is going to call you and you need to do what he tells you so that I can get out of jail. I am pretty banged up and I am in the infirmary.
Have received 2 calls from this number - individual does not speak English well and asks for Granddaddy. We know is spam call.
