Just received call from 914 219-0081. The adrenalin is still flowing. The ID read "State Troop". It was frightening as the first thought always goes to family. Although I'm in area code 518, there would be no reason why a trooper would not have a personal cell with 914 area code. I then realized that if a trooper were in a bizaare situation where he had to use a personal cell to call next of kin he would have left some sort of message or had local police or local state trooper come go to the house. I also noticed that ID read State Troop and not State Trooper or NYSP etc, which probably obsolves this individual of liability. I did not answer call. Found on line reference this number comments about telemarketing. I received similar call from an individual claiming to be collecting for a police department. He became angry when I refused to donate. I understand the marketer receives a healthy percentage of donations collected..
914-219-0081 (Armonk, New York) 6//14/2013 @ 6:40 PM when the consumer called the number back, the machine said clearly the company was a telemarketer. The man calling the consumer gave a sales pitch during her brief greeting. The consumer didnt give the man a chance to speak and told him to not call again or he would call the police. The consumer then terminated the call. The consumer has been on the Fed DNC registry for ten.
