Called my number and it was a pre-recorded message stating they were the IRS and had a warrant out for my arrest and to return their call immediately and to not disregard the message. Considering how I am not a felon and current on my taxes.....phony and scam.

I received a call from this number on May 3. I asked what is what regarding, He said his name was anthony cooper badge # WA 1173178 calling from the IRS main office in DC. I asked for the address of his office. He provided an address of 1202 pacific ave 98402 which a Tacoma Washington IRS station. We were disconnected. His accent was russian.

Got a call from this number just now too. Don't know any one from New York so looked it up. Yep, glad I did.

received a call from this number and said they are the IRS. They had my name and number but wrong address then the phone disconnected. Glad I looked this number up

Just got the call as well and I'm happy I've heard about these fake calls because it was scary at first. Also, it's a recording and the IRS says they never call but will send correspondence instead.

The phony IRS callers have begun! This foreign caller is on a recording with a phony New York phone number. He leaves a very ominous and threatening message. The caller advises to call back or have attorney call back, alledging legal action pending! So, do not fall for it!
