I have received many calls from this name and number.(Port Folio Recovery (914)595-7031) Only once I received a message and they never said who the call was for. If I don't know the name and number I screen! So far it has come from 3 different states in the last 3 months. If you do not know the number please do not answer it and if they do get a message through and it sounds a bit broken and never says who it is for...leave it alone! I also agree ..DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR NAME!!!! If you have FB they can find you, hack you and get to your friends..... I get most of these calls on week-ends...

These calls are from Portfolio Recovery, debt collector. They have called several times a day.....

They have called several times. Each time I have asked for the date of birth and SSN of the person whose debt they are trying to collect. It never matches. I can't decide if they are trying to scare people into sending them money or fishing for personal information. In either case, when I asked for them to mail us the information, the caller quickly said they had that in front of them. Sure sounds like a scam to me but I could be wrong.

Receiving calls several times a day.
No message being left.
I am totally debt free so calls are bogus.

Called and claimed I owed money. I do not. Tried to verify my identity. Told them to mail all claims to the address on record. Don't give them any information.

They call 2-3X a week. I never answer, having checked online the first time I saw their name. As is everyone else, I'm on the DO NOT CALL list. To my knowledge, I have no unpaid debts.

These calls are from Portfolio Recovery, debt collector. These idiots have many multiple numbers across the US. Apparently there's nothing better to do than to call numbers and not say a darn thing. Don't bother with them nor provide any confidential and identifying information. Best thing to do is just hang up.
