man called me at work today and said he was a paralegal collecting money from us bank. payday loan default. told him not to call me at work, to call me on my cell. he called me about six o clock may 16th 2011 and threatened to have me arrested if i didn't send him 700.00 i told him i would contact my attorney and call him back and hung up!!!!!

Last week I got a call from a different number, the lady...with heavy accent said I was in defualt of a payday loan and they were getting ready to sue me. I asked for information on the creaditor and she said it was USCASH. I told her I was going to research the information she provided me and sure enough it was a scam. These people were calling my cell phone and my work phone. I decided I was going to harrass them just the same. So I called back several times that day. I left a message at one point telling the it was an emeregency. The next morning I got a call back from a guy who claimed he was in Jamica. The dude just wanted a friend appartentaly because he told me it was a scam, that he had bought a magic jack from one of these people. He asked if he could continue calling me, and because I wanted more information from him I agreed....until I got what I wanted.
I received calls again today from the 914 #, both at work and on my cell. The lady who left the message ended it by saying if she didn't hear back from me all she could say was the best of luck to me. So I called the number back, a man answered. I asked what he wanted and informed him I knew it was a scam. He had a nice script wrote out that he read to me. Ensuring me this was no scam. He even threated to have me arrested, to that I told him to bring it on.
Said he was from Cali but the number he called from was a NY #. He also said he was from Attorney and Legal...which was suppose to be the name of the office in which he was calling from and the attorney's name is Adam Woods.
Beware.... do not send any money to these people.
the jamican guy admitted he has several people send him money all the time from this scam.
