They are scamming on Craigslist now. They want to know the last offer on your item, and then try to use the Paypal scam method.

I recieved a call from a (mike Peterson) claiming to be from NYPD I have no reason for NYPD to be calling me Not that I actually think it even was.
They didnt speak english and was trying to get my name but I wouldnt give it to them

Got a call from a "Brian Winken?" leaving this number as a callback, and claiming to be from "Central Investigation?". He had a heavy Indian accent. I have had a number of these type of calls at work, always from a man with a heavy Indian accent, using a different American sounding name. They have also called my employer's switchboard and made suggestive and inappropriate commetns to the receptionist.

I've received several calls at my place of employment. At first "Andy Jones" said he needed to talk to me. When the receptionist further inquired about the nature of his call, he hung up on her. She said he had a heavy accent possibly from India. Today "Andy Jones called again and told the receptionist its regarding a legal complaint.

a JOHN ANDERSON called from this number saying that i had recieved and payday loan and needed to pay it back before they took it to court and he gave me all my private information along with my banking info .. i knew he was a scammer because the same guy (of indian decent) called from 315-604-3299 a couple of months agoJOHN SMITH called with old banking info but with my boyfriends personal info saying similar story and wanted me to fax them permission to take money for payment on the debt they claimed i had with them. they say the company name is CASH ADVANCE but they would not give me any more of their company information until i faxed them permission .. no address or email or supervisor info .. this is a total scam and i would like for these people to be prosecuted to the fullest extent and want to know how they came about all my information so we can put an end to these crimes .. i hope you have not fallen for their tricks and sent the any money or given them permission to debit your accounts ............................................Sincerely Me
