They tried this scam on a United States Postal Service telephone line. It sure shows what a scam they are

These people route their calls through random legit phone numbers. There is no way to block them from calling from a new number each time. The "DO NOT CALL" registry doesn't help. I get at least one phone call a day from different numbers within the (865) area code. When I call back, it is a random person with a legit phone line - they are clueless that their number has been used.

One was a recording from 623-815-2686 (5/25/2017), another on 7/13/2017 from 623-815-8359 and on 8/8/2017 in person from 6523-815-2523...all Sun City AZ numbers. I was being offered this 75% off vacation because I had stayed at one of their resorts in the past. I have NEVER been to a resort. When I started to question her on this last call, she hung up.

Same caller - has called twice using local phone numbers - 603-443-9772 on my cell phone and 603-632-1086 on the house phone.
