Received call on 10/5/11 saying I was preapproved for a debt consolidation loan at a 1.5% interest rate. I didn't get the 800 number that was given so I checked my caller ID and it stated the call was from The Debt School with a phone number of 917 793-5694. I tried to call the phone number but got message, phone number is unallocated. I know it was a scam call but is there any way to report it so it can be stopped? Now I'm wondering if it is a way the caller can get access to using your phone for Lord knows what.

I recieved this call for the first time today 9-26-2011 and when I answered the phone, the other end hung up very quickly. When I tried to call the number back it said the number was unallocated (whatever that means.) I am not annoyed by this call but if it continues to happen then I will become very upset. The number showed up on my phone as The Debt School, this is something I have never heard of before and I am not interested in whatever false services they are providing.

I pick up, no answer on their end. I call the number back and an automated computer voice tells me the number I have called is unallocated. They call again, same day, still no answer on their end when I pick up. I again call the number back, now just a busy signal. I receive these phone calls at least three times a day and there is no way to get a hold of someone to tell them to quit calling my home all hours of the day and night. Anyone have any idea how to get them to stop or how to get ahold of them?

"Kathy" said I was preapproved for debt consolidation and a letter was sent to me. There was not a letter and nor do I care if I was preapproved.

it clearly says when you call back that its telemarketing.

Automated message stating my approval for credit card debt consolidation, for which I never requested nor applied. Also stated it represented a nonprofit organization.

Don't call

I am getting calls from this company, asking for...evidently, the person who previously had our phone number. I keep calling, and am never able to reach someone.

I didn't answer the call and they didn't leave a message, but the caller id sai the number was:917-793-5694 at 9:51am on 8/26/2011. It said THE DEBT GROUP, Please report this and stop this if possible.

The phone rang, I responded, nobody answered.

I think that I flunked out of The Debt School, why else would they be calling
