There was a pre-recorded messages asking me if I wanted to take advantage of lower interest rates for my credit card and said this was a limited time offer. It asked me to press "1" for "yes." I pressed "2" and it put me on hold and transferred me to a live person. The person answered their phone and said "This is Richard from Card Services." I said "Card Services?" and he said "yes." He then asked me if I had over $5,000 in credit card debt. I said "no" and he hung up the phone. We have received this same type of call numerous times despite being on the Do Not Call list. I did not write down all of the dates and times.

The call states it is in reference to my current credit cards. When I spoke with the operator he said he could reduce my interest rate. When I asked to be removed from their calling list, he pressed me to take their offer. When I asked to speak with someone who could remove me from the list, he hemmed and hawed then hung up the phone.

Lower credit card interest rate -- to wit [from an 800notes.com complaint]: "I just received a telephone call from this number ( 918-213-3105 ) and answered it. I received a recorded message that, if I want to lower my interest rate on my credit cards press 1. I then pressed 1 and got to a live person who immediately asked whether I was "responding" to the offer to lower my interest rate. I said all I wanted to know was who they were and why they were calling me.

The guy immediately hung up on me. When I call back, I get that the caller is currently unavailable every time I call." from one other complainant.
