Calls every morning, I don't answer.

I received yet another call from this number and this time there was a person on the line. He was very pushy and told me he was not a telemarketer, but wanted instead to install a security system in my home and then use my system as advertisement and all of this would be done "free of charge". He refused to answer any questions about how he got my number and how he knew my name. He became very testy when I suggested fraud was involved and that it sounded like identity theft to me. I had thought previous calls were made from an automatic dialer, but the fact that he had my name was very worrisome, although I did not let on that he had the correct name. Since my phone is a pre-paid, essentially "no-name" phone, these jokers had to have done something "fishy" to obtain my name. I think they hacked into my cell phone provider and stole a block of numbers, which I have been told is a fairly "easy" thing to do if you know how to do it. I think one has to be very careful in dealing with these jokers since I don't think they are merely telemarketers, but are in actuality an identity theft ring. I advise each and every one receiving calls and/or texts from these guys to report it immediately to the FTC.

I received 4 calls today from this number and each call had a pre-recorded message about some sort of home service. If you call the number back, you get another pre-recorded message telling you to press "1" if you want to be removed from their "preferred" calling list, even though they should not be calling in the first place since my number has been on the Do Not Call Registry for some time now. I recommend reporting each and every call from this number to the FTC and file a complaint.

Second time today.... Call Control blocked the call as usual.

I received a few calls from this number but for some reason I never heard the cell phone ring. I just saw the number in missed calls. Finally, I heard my cell phone ring and answered it without looking at the number. Dumb, but I'm just not used to looking at the number before I answer it. A very nice sounding young man said he was from a home security group and was looking to get into my area. I interrupted and asked him who was paying for the cell charges but he just kept talking, a very nice sounding young man. It was hard to be rude because he sounded so pleasant but I was angry about using my minutes for something I didn't want or ask for so I just hung up on him. When I got home I called my cell phone carrier and had them block the number. They advised me to call the local police and file a harassment complaint.

After seeing all the other 918 numbers, I'm wondering who these people are and how they're getting away with this; especially for those of us on the do-not-call list.

3 times in 2 days - It's illegal to spam a cell phone with robocalls.

I had received numerous calls from this number. I picked up today in the hopes of getting them to stop calling me. I young man said he was from a home secuity group. I tried to tell him that I had no need for their service, but he just kept talking over my voice....very rude! I wound up shouting at him, and finally he stopped talking. I repeated that I didn't need security, and if he had just listened to me at the beginning, he would know that. I was infuriated by his rudeness. I did call the number back to try fo file a complaint. The recoprded gave me the option of removing my number from their call list. We'll see if it works.
