Got a call from this number today. When I picked up I heard nothing and after 30seconds the call dropped.

The government does not have the technology to stop these illegal callers. They cannot be stopped through the current laws, and the current enforcement is a joke. Until: 1) criminals get a conscience and a work ethic, or 2) someone finds a way to stop them permanently, these calls are a way of life. Too bad, but cutting them off would involve a lot of new laws, trillions of new tax dollars, and possibly Big Brother getting more powerful than God. Blocking them does no good, it's really best to not answer a number you don't recognize!

What's stupid is they didn't even say anything and when I tried to return their call, I got the Verizon Wireless recording saying the number I dialed has been changed, disconnected or is no longer in service. I wish that were the case and I wish they would stop calling me! The 'www.donotcall.gov' is ineffective and probably should be disbanded! They do nothing!

It was a recorded message offering Medical Alert System. Press 1 if I would like to receive Medical Alert System and $1000. Press 9 to Opt Out.

I pressed 9 and nothing happened. Also filed a complaint with "National Do Not Call Registry".
