Credit card scam
Just got a call from this number, it shows that it is calling from Stigler, OK. I don't have relative or friend that live over in OK so I checked it on internet and found out it is scam. Good I didn't answer.
I didn't answer because I was in my college class. I usually don't answer the phone for number I don't know anyways. I usually look up the number to see if it is a scam. good to know that is. Something needs to seriously be done about these thieves. I always get scam calls from this number and a few from New York.
didn't pick up. left voicemail transcription by google voice:
"Hello, this is Rachel at Cardholder Services calling in reference to your current credit card accounts. There are no problems currently with your account. It is urgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate to as little as 6.9% your eligibility expires shortly, so please consider this your final notice press the number one on your telephone now to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rates. Thank you. Bye"
It's a scam! The call in itself is illegal. They only call because some people fall for it. They give them personal info.
