Yes, they called me and asked for a $15 donation and I told them I would not give information over the phone. So they sent me this letter say I pledged $20. Even though it is not a lot of money, I decided to check out their website and it is bogus. Then I tried calling them and was put on hold forever. The scary thing was I didn't give them any info over the phone and they knew my address.
Crap.... well I’m glad I’m out only $20. The lady was GOOD! We talked football, area we lived in... she even thanked me for being polite. Hope they don’t have my card number (they said it isn’t recorded)
Got a live person call from the Coalition and asked them to send me something in the mail, since I was driving. They made it sound like a veteran charity. It tugged at my heart since my stepfather was in the Korean war. I got the mailer today. This is for political campaigning money, not help for the vets! I looked around for a good bit before finding this page of other complaints. Thanks to all for putting your stories on here. I was called from a 703 area code.
Received a call from this number from the Coalition For American Veterans and when I told him I was a 35 year combat vet working for the VA he just said ok and hung up, I would like to meet these guys face to face
They are calling locals and asking for donations. Absolute scam number
