Google search of the number revealed numerous victims. Some indicated this was a telemarketer using pre-recorded messages to lure people into credit card interest rate reductions. Caller NOT affiliated with any credit card I have.

Call was from "card-member services" regarding lowering my "card rates" but failed to provide any identifying information, such as the card type. I believe this call is from identity thieves. I did a reverse phone look-up on Intellius. The results are attached hereto.

It offered a lower rate on my Visa or Mastercard and when asked what company they were with, I was told "Visa or Mastercard," which is obviously not a single entity. When I said "no, thank you" and asked them not to call me again because I'm on the do-not-call list, the caller replied "who cares? Even if you are on the list, we'll still call you again, dumbass." Then, she hung up.

The call starts with a pre-recorded message calling from card member services to lower my interest rate and hit one for a representative. Once a live representative answered I asked "What company is this?" to which the person responded that they "work with Visa & Mastercard." When asked again "What is the name of the company you are calling from," the representative hung up without an answer.
