Got the same call as above today and had a voicemail message "Hello, this call is officially a final notice from IRS Internal revenue service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filing lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 929-245-9484 I repeat 929-245-9484 Thank you." I wish I had answered when they called. I do taxes during tax season and could have all sorts of fun with these idiots!!

They left an automated message on my voicemail saying this was a final notice from the IRS that they were filling a lawsuit. What a scam

I called them back and they said they had sent me several letters and I needed to pay an amount due to them today to resolve the matter or I would need to go to my local courthouse tomorrow.... I told them I was recording the call and they hung up.

I called back and a guy whit thick accent answered with Hello. I asked who it was and they said hesitantly, IRS. I asked to speak to someone else because I could barely understand them. Eventually they hung up. This call seemed too off to be the real IRS.

Got a call today, VM was left with the same number.
IRS does not call, they send letters.

I called back and line dropped. I called again and rep answer quick. When was the last time IRS answered calls quickly. There was no wait music. All these people have is your phone # and address. Do not provide them any personal info. I called local IRS office to verify if it was a scam.

The IRS had called me from 929-245-9484. I had called them back and gave them my credit card number. The lady had a thick foreign accent. She said the I should see a transaction in two or three days.

Got this call today (from a robot agent, not a real person). Here is the script from Google Voice.
